Day 1
Nata Lodge
Pick up from Johannesburg very early and travel through to Botswana & Nata Lodge.
An oasis set among the Mokolwane palms on the edge of the pans. It is ideally situated close to the entrance to the Nata Sanctuary and is just off the main road, 10 km from Nata village. This is the junction to the Okavango, Chobe and Francistown areas. Accommodation in custom designed safari tents - En-suite on platforms with all the comforts of a typical luxury safari camp.
Entering the Famous Botswana National Parks...
Day 2, 3, 4
We head in the direction of Kasane and our lodge in the northern most part of the Chobe. We will stay at Chobe Safari Lodge near the place where four countries meet, the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi rivers.
On Botswana's far northern border lies the Kwando, Linyanti and Chobe river system forming a series of lakes, islands and floodplains. This area forms the Chobe National Park, famous for its large buffalo and elephant herds. In addition to a variety of predators, there is an abundance of wild game and bird life which decorate these beautiful waterways.
BOAT CRUISES
Cruises, led by expert guides are available throughout the day to suit your individual needs. Cruises into the National Park are a wonderful and somewhat different way of viewing the game.
Day 5, 6 & 7
Mutemwa Lodge and Maziba Bay
Tucked away along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River in Western Zambia lies a place of serene beauty and splendor. Mutemwa Lodge.
Relax under the shade of indigenous trees and enjoy some of southern Africa's finest bird watching, with the Zambezi spreading a kilometer wide beneath your patio. Of course, adventure is never far off and the lodge offers guests Tiger and Bream fishing, specific bird watching expeditions as well as tours to nearby cultural and scenic destinations. No stay at Mutemwa would be complete without a sunset cruise followed by a dinner of authentic African cuisine in the boma, around a roaring campfire.
Each of Mutemwa Lodge's eight luxury bush tents boast an en-suite bathroom, private deck and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 8, 9 & 10
The border crossing into Zambia will be an experience as we board the ferry at Kazungula and make our way to the shores of the Zambezi river and our lodge Maramba River Lodge just outside the town of Livingstone.
Livingstone and Victoria Falls:
The next two days you will see yourself exploring Livingstone and Victoria Falls and for the brave, Bungi jumping, River rafting, canoeing and microlight flights over the "Mosi oa Tunya" or "The Smoke that Thunders". This is the place where Dr. David Livingstone wrote the following."so beautiful the angels must have gazed upon it in their flight". You will be our guests on a sundowner cruise, be warned the sunset will take your breath away.
Day 11
Back across the border to the country of Botswana we will travel to Nata to overnight once again on the shores of the Makgadikgadi pans at Nata Lodge where we can visit the Bird Sanctuary. This is a community project and large flocks of Flamingos and Pelicans converge on the pan to breed.

Back to civilization - JHB
